The slicing dependence of axisymmetric trapping horizons in Vaidya spacetimes

Alex Nielsen

Results from the numerical investigation of axisymmetric trapping horizons will be presented, focusing on comparing the area of the tilted axisymmetric horizons with those of the spherically symmetric trapping horizon and event horizon. The spacetimes investigated include both accreting and evaporating black holes. The difference between the area of the trapping horizon and event horizon can be many order of magnitude larger than the Planck area, but the differences between the tilted horizons are small.
