The role of special conformal Killing tensors in GR

Special conformal Killing tensors (SCK) have proven their role in many subjects of physics and mathematics: bi-Hamilotonian systems, stationary flows of soliton equations, geodesic equivalence, etc. I give an introduction to this type of conformal Killing tensors, and to their role in general relativity.
