Holographic dark energy at the Ricci scale

Iván Durán and Diego Pavón

We study a holographic cosmological model, in which the IR cutoff is set by the Ricci's radius. The model predicts a present accelerated expansion preceded by a decelerated phase and is compatible with observation (i.e., SN Ia, BAO, CMB shift, x-ray, growth factor, and age of the old compact objects). We consider two cases: one in which the energy components evolve independently of each other, and another in which dark energy and dark matter interact non gravitationally with one another. The interacting model is somewhat preferred as it also solves the coincidence problem.
