Complete photon spectra from WIMPs

Álvaro de la Cruz-Dombriz

If the present dark matter in the Universe annihilates in standard model particles, it must contribute to the fluxes of cosmic rays that are observed on the Earth, and in particular, to the gamma rays. The magnitude of such contribution depends on the particular dark matter candidate, but certain features of the produced photons spectrum may be analysed within a completely a general framework. In this investigation we provide complete photon spectra from WIMP annihilation into standard model particles obtained by Montecarlo simulations. Analytical fitting formulae from those simulations are thus obtained for a wide WIMP masses range.
